The last item is definitely on your reach, so thanks for stepping up and
send an email announcing it ;)

As for the news item I seem to be able to create them, but coordinate
with Christina and Paul (in CC). The easiest way would be to copy &
paste a past announcement, update it for the new beta and send it to
Christina so it can make it look more plone-y news items.

As for dev.plone.org on Sorrento it was decided to move away from it
completely. I volunteered to get the last 600 open tickets out of
dev.plone.org and create migrate them to github.com. I need to talk with
Paul about it, but anyone can step up and do it if they want to.
