Hi, We've been running the Silva 2.2 alpha to create the 2.2 documentation (eating your own dog food). After upgrading, the old TOCs that were embedded in documents were converted to TOC Code Sources. These are much more functional than the old toc, but we've run into a key difference. You can't easily make relative references to the current container. When you use the lookup window, it inserts a full path from the root. If you notice, you can then edit the path in the toolbox and remove the segments above, and this will work. But if you ever change the name of the container, the toc breaks. This didn't happen with the old toc. We noticed this because we export, import, and rename. This also means that, if somebody installs the documentation, and then renames the publication (from 'docs' to something else), the top level toc breaks. So there's a couple of points here. 1. It would be best if the lookup window didn't make a full path when linking to the current container. For instance, the images toolbox doesn't make a full path if it's not needed. If you link to an image in the current container, it only inserts the image id. 2. I tried using, instead of the container id, a '.'. That didn't work. Too bad, because if it did, that toc would work regardless of moving or renaming. Another option would be to accept an empty field and then the toc would display the contents of the current location. Maybe this is a better idea? Kit ps: At this moment the toc lookup window doesn't insert. It pops up but when I try to select something, but it doesn't close itself and insert a path. This might be my system, although I tried it with both FF3 and Safari. -- Kit BLAKE · Infrae · http://infrae.com/ + 31 10 243 7051
