plans for reference management

Hi,

besides implementing all my "wishes" and "needs" into SilvaBlog, I'd
like to spend some spare time on getting a nice link checker service
done for Silva.

Therefore I contacted Clemens already about his SilvaReferenceChecker
product. He would like to spend some time on his product as well and
likes the idea to include some other features I had in mind as well. We
didn't discussed this in any detail, because we think this mailinglist
would be a better place for this.

I thought about porting the CMFLinkChecker[1] to Silva. The linkchecking
part is factored out of the CMF product, so that implementing a Silva
pendant wouldn't be a difficult task. I've to admit, that I haven't
elaborated which problems we might face, so I expect the port of the
product seems to be easy.

In order to avoid concurrent development on same features, I'd like to
discuss this topic on the mailinglist first. So, what are your plans for
the future of reference management?
