Hello Deano, >As a followup, could someone related to the project give a comparison >between this and "Mailboxer", the completely zope-ified MLM? I just looked at the code briefly. Why in the world would I start to reimplement Mailman? This is like the guy on Python-Tutor who started writing his own Mailing List handler. Mailman has a lot of features that would be too annoying for me to implement in my own solution; talking about reinventing the wheel here. I think integrating Mailman in Zope is much smart than starting my own Mailing List Handler using Zope. No offense, but the guy could have put some effort into Mailman and ZMailman and would have accomplished much more at the end of the day. So, it looks cool at the beginning, but ... >Also, anyone with inside info on Mailman 2.1's release schedule, we're >pretty much spinning our wheels waiting for an easy-to-use Mailman on >some internal projects... Well yeah, Barry's opinion is: The sooner it gets out the door the better. They really just wait for the bug fixes to be made.
