Well, luckily Mailman 2.1 addresses this issue enough that we will be able 
to do it without any fancy ZEO stuff. I also do not want to just use a 
standalone ZODB right now (it is certainly a long-time goal), since we 
really want to integrate Mailman into Zope.

So if you or anyone else make any development, please use Mailman 2.1 alpha 
or CVS.
