Nope. And it doesn't.

ZEO OTOH, does require Python 2.7.9 or higher because of some required SSL
features.

I suppose we could relax the >=2.7.9 requirement for ZEO for people who
don't plan to use SSL.

2.7.6 is pretty old (~30 internet years).

My suggestion: take more control over your deployments by not relying on
system-provided Python.
