So I gave the talk. I learned several things. First of all People just do not know about the ZODB. I invite you all to take a copy of my slides and give the talk at your local Python user group meeting. If your local python group covers travel expenses, I am also happy to give the talk at your local Python conference. Secondly, ZODB has bad association with Zope. Without knowing anything about the technology they assume it to be old and dead. The slides need to clearly say that ZODB is not equal to Zope. That Zope corporation went bankrupt, and that Jim Fulton went on to do major improvements to the ZODB. Really it is time for a name change, a rebranding. We also need to change the story from old technology to very mature technology. We need a list of all of the major users. Boston Globe, etc... Is there a list of Plone users. A list of ZODB and Pyramid users. If not, send me your links and I will compile ti. Next, people know about zope.interface. But not much. I need to clearly say that zope.interface is not abstract base classes, and why it is better. Does anyone have a good article on that topic? Zope.interface does provide CRUD, and CRUD for trees. And finally we need a killer app for the ZODB. A reason for people to start using it. ZeroDB + something comes to mind. > > I also watched with great interest a recent talk given by Jim Fulton on ZODB. Such a useful tech Can you share the URL? Was that at the Plone conference?
