Core people are clever and adatable enough to cope with new names.  Don't we
regularly do stuff like move all of Zope3 into src from lib/python?  

At this point I will simply observe that in casual conversations:

 - Zope 3 developers *hate* the idea of providing a different name
 - 90% of everyone else thinks it will make the situation much clearer

Comments like, "why didn't they call it something like that from the start", and
"that makes me feel much more comfortable about it" have been very common.

Beware of making assumptions.  Developers are notoriously bad at usability. 
This is a usability issue.  I propose to get some real data on this and other
issues in due course (i.e. surveys and interviews - with developers as well as
all the other groups).
