The problem is that while you can tell Fluxbox where to position a
window initially when it's mapped for the first time, there is no option
(as far as I'm aware) to tell Fluxbox that you want it to refuse
application requested geometry changes. This is especially annoying
when you have grouped a window with others and one application in the
group wants to change its window geometry. It will mercilessly resize
the whole group with all tabs, completely breaking the nice and clean
desktop layout.

I'd really appreciate a setting in Fluxbox to ignore
application-requested geometry changes. I wouldn't even mind if it's
just a global option rather than per-application. *I* want to be the
master of my desktop. Once I've placed a window, be it via .fluxbox/apps
or manual positioning, I want the window to stay put.
