This should definately be possible, you could use something like sed or awk
to modify that value in the config file, and then use kill or killall to
send SIGUSR1 to the fluxbox process to have it reload the config.

This would be ok, if I like to have toolbar in the TopCenter always..
but when I use one single screen I like to hahe the tool bar in the
BottomCenter, but when I switch to double screen (with my script) I
would like to have toolbar in the TopCenter. Can I modify that value in
~/.fluxbox/init with a script?
