I'm currently using fluxbox and compton, with plank at the bottom of the
screen with true transparency, and no problems at all. But, I did have a
problem at first using plank as it was having a "dead-area" at the
bottom for about 1.5 inches above plank where nothing could be clicked
with my mouse. This was resolved by placing plank like this, in 'apps'

Since then there have been no problems.

plank - 0.10.01 from 'testing'
compton - 0.1~beta2-1 from 'stable'
