I had a lot of problems getting auto-grouping to work. The only thing
that I found that worked was to save some options for the particular
apps, and then to copy /exactly/ the [app] line to my group
definitions, including the exact whitespace/tabs before.. In vim this
is easy enough with doing a 'yy'.
This is how one group looks:
[group]
[app] (name=qutebrowser) (class=qutebrowser)
[app] (name=chromium-devel) (class=Chromium-devel) (role=browser)
[app] (name=Navigator) (class=Firefox) (role=browser)
[Workspace] {1}
[Deco] {NONE}
[Maximized] {yes}
[end]
It took an awful lot of experimenting before it started working.
Hope this helps.
