Category: None Group: behavior Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Upper layer windows drawn below for fullscreen Firefox Initial Comment: When using Firefox (1) with icewm (2), having a floating window open with Javascript window.open, and wanting that floating window to stay over the main Firefox window in fullscreen, by setting the floating window's layer to something higher than normal (eg, ontop, etc), the floating window will disappear under the main Firefox window, and only reappear occasionally. If the browser is not set to fullscreen, all works fine. I have a small display though, and need the full height to use the page this happens on properly (a browser based game). Steps: Get icewm (2) and Firefox (1) running. Open a floating window in Firefox, and set its layer to "on top". Focus back on the main FF window, and press F11 Notice that the main focused FF window redraws on top of the floating window Notice that if you go onto the icewm menu bar, the floating window reappears (1) Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090905 Shiretoko/3.5.2 (2) IceWM 1.3.7, Copyright 1997-2003 Marko Macek, 2001 Mathias Hasselmann ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2010-12-21 21:17 Message: Additional configuration information: IceWM was built with simple: ./configure --prefix=$HOME && make && make install Config files are (in $HOME/.icewm): cat focus_mode FocusMode=2 cat preferences TaskBarAutoHide=1 WorkspaceNames=" 1 ", " 2 ", " 3 ", " 4 " (tried with TaskBarAutoHide=0 too, didn't help) X.Org X Server 1.7.1 Release Date: 2009-10-23 [...] Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.27.9 i686 Running Linux 2.6.32.9 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100031&aid=3141413&group_id=31 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Forrester recently released a report on the Return on Investment (ROI) of Google Apps.
