It's been mentioned that IceWM still has some unresolved bugs left from some time ago.  I'm guessing that some of the components of IceWM are outdated and need to be updated.  I don't think adding more themes needs to be a high priority.  In making Swift Linux, I actually cut some of the themes in the interest of saving space.  (This is necessary for providing LibreOffice but keeping the ISO file small enough for a CD.  Every MB counts, because I need to keep Swift Linux small enough to fit onto a CD for years to come.)

What's wrong with offering a DE?  Just because a DE is offered doesn't mean that it's forced on everyone.  Just look at how many individuals and Linux distros (like CrunchBang) use OpenBox without LXDE.  If the concept of a DE is so awful, then why are so many individuals and distros using KDE, GNOME, Xfce, and LXDE?

I have to have clickable icons on the screen, and I suspect that the majority of computer users feel the same way.  That's why I include pre-activated ROX pinboard in Swift Linux.  An ultra-lightweight user-friendly DE can win over users of the other DEs.  A WM alone probably won't.

antiX Linux proved that it's possible to transform a heavy distro into a light one by lightening MEPIS Linux.  As a result, antiX Linux offers the unique combination of lightweight operation, user-friendliness, AND a large software repository.  The independent Puppy Linux offers lightweight operation and user-friendliness but falls short when it comes to the software repository.  I'm applying the antiX Linux playbook to Linux Mint Debian Edition in order to offer all of the benefits of antiX Linux PLUS the superior codec/driver support of Linux Mint and Puppy Linux.  (antiX Linux doesn't play DVDs.  Linux Mint and Puppy Linux do.)
