Running gkrellm at startup

Here is my 'startup' file in ~/.icewm

     xterm -e xset m 1.5
     xterm <font info, etc>
     exec xterm -<font info, etc> -e mc

Adding 'gkrellm' anywhere in this script fails to start the app; I have to start it after Ice comes up. Ideas?
