What's happened to the old/original development team? Why don't we ever hear from them? Have they all suddenly disappeared, or simply chickened-out completely? lol.... I'm quite impresses with IceWM myself, but a few irritating glitches using it with Ubuntu, and a *very small* and relatively silent community has forced me to favor fluxbox in the short run.
