Re: Reassigning keys to be another key

Hi,

I just tried that as:
xmodmap -e 'keycode 117 = Ctrl_R'

Also:
xmodmap -e 'keycode 117 = Control_R'

What I originally had in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc was:
keycode 117 = Ctrl_R

and tried:
keycode 117 = Control_R

As well as:
keycode 117 = Ctrl_R
add Ctrl_R

and:
keycode 117 = Control_R
add Control_R

That Windows key refuses to be a control key :-(

So, I tried the exact sample script in man xmodmap that swaps the caps
lock and control keys to test if IceWM is overriding xinitrc and the
sample script in xmodmad doesn't work either.

IceWM seems to be overriding.
