Moin,

Apparently icewm switched to a new window placement algorithm.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seems to do the right thing (for me).
What happens is that opening a new window would tries place it
maximally away from all open windows, but also centered in the
free space. So the placement of windows is pretty much random
now. Which is kind of annoying on big screens, because opening
the first window will place it in the left top corner, the second
will end up on the right top corner. Now if I want to work with
those two windows, I am constantly turning my head (yes, my monitor
is big). Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a way to switch
back to the old algorithm, at least there is none mentioned in the
documentation. All I can do is switching off SmartPlacement, but
then windows are opened in an overlapping fashion.

Does somewone know how to revert back to the old window placement
algorithm?
