The glxgears result is highly dependent on the size of its window. You
need to compare a maximized glxgears window in fluxbox with glxgears in
rp without any split. Otherwise use the split command in ratpoison in
order ro reduce the glxgears window in rp to the same dimension it gets
in fluxbox. Perhaps this is what you already did, in this case sorry for
the noise
