Windows Development  

 Summary: 

Server Technologies Windows development group is looking for highly 
talented and motivated software engineers and managers for
the following functions:

·	Design and build various features for Oracle database on both 
32-bit and 64-bit Windows .NET Server. 
·	Port multiple simultaneous releases of Oracle 10g Database 
(DB), Enterprise Manager (EM), Internet Application Server
·	(IAS) and Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS) products on 
Windows 64-bit .NET server running on leading-edge Intel Itanium
·	and AMD based platforms. 
·	Daily product Integration for several components of the 
products mentioned above.

The products & components developed in this group makes Oracle a well-
integrated product with Windows OS and with .NET technologies like 
ADO .NET.  Our focus is also to make Oracle on Windows highly 
scalable, simple to use and easy to develop
applications with.  We work closely with several development teams at 
Microsoft and Intel Corporations to make Oracle the best on Windows.

 Requirements, Skills/languages, etc: 

·	BS/MS in CS/EE from a recognized institute 
·	Years of Experience: 10+ for manager, 7+ for PMTS
·	Should be very proficient in C/C++. Java knowledge is 
strongly desirable. 
·	Some experience with Perl or other scripting technologies 
·	Experience with XML and related technologies 
·	Experience in Windows Internals,Win 32 API, Win Development.
·	Software design, development, testing and debugging 
experience 
·	Software engineering (build/integration) experience for 
Integration team 
·	Ability to understand and solve complex problems 
·	Excellent debugging skills on the Windows platform  
·	Team player with excellent written and verbal communication 
skills 
·	Desirable: Knowledge of Microsoft technologies like ODBC, 
ADO, OLE DB,        ADO .NET


Positions: Development Managers, Principal Member Technical Staff
Experience: 5 years and above only

Qualifications:  ME / M Tech / BE / B Tech in CS/EE/Equivalent or MCA 
from reputed institutions
WINDOW 32-BIT DEVELOPMENT
Design and develop new features for Oracle products on both 32-bit 
and 64-bit Windows platforms, work on new products/components to 
leverage .NET technologies 
Requirements:
·	Proficiency in C/C++ 
·	Java knowledge is highly desirable
·	Strong design/development experience with systems software on 
the Windows platform.
·	Familiarity with Windows APIs and SDKs and data access 
technologies like ADO .NET, OLE DB and ODBC.
·	Experience with XML and related technologies is desirable.
·	Familiarity with Oracle products and technologies on Windows 
platforms is highly desirable
·	Development Managers should have experience with leading or 
managing system software projects on Windows platforms. 

WINDOWS INTEGRATION, BUILD AND PACKAGE

Daily product integration and build for several components of the 
products mentioned above. Create Installers and do the packaging for 
each of the four products for multiple parallel releases on the 
Windows 64-bit platforms.

Requirements:
·	Proficiency in C/C++ 
·	Comfortable with development and debugging tools in the 
Windows environment.
·	Experience with Source Control or Configuration Management 
tools like Clearcase etc.
·	Experience with Make files, build methods and integration 
processes is highly desirable.
·	Knowledge of scripting technologies like Perl is highly 
desirable.
·	Excellent understanding of the entire software lifecycle. 
·	Experience with product installation and packaging.
·	Development Managers should have preferably worked in 
Software Engineering teams responsible for providing Integration 
support to development teams in large, global development 
organizations. 


WINDOWS 64-BIT PORTING
Port and optimize multiple simultaneous releases of Oracle 10g 
Database, Internet Application Server, Collaboration Suite and the 
Enterprise Manager products to the Windows 64-bit platforms.
Requirements:
·	Proficiency in C/C++.
·	Java knowledge is highly desirable.
·	Excellent debugging and problem resolution skills in the 
Windows environment.
·	Knowledge of Oracle products (Database, Internet Application 
Server, Collaboration Suite or Enterprise Manager) is desirable.
·	Experience with Windows 64-bit operating systems is desirable.
·	Knowledge and experience with Intel Itanium and/or AMD 
Opteron architecture is highly desirable.
·	Experience with porting technologies and process is highly 
desirable.
·	Development managers should have relevant experience leading 
or managing projects and should have preferably worked in similar 
projects. Experience with porting products/applications to any 
Windows platform will be a strong advantage.
