Neither Maxima nor GCL run, but GNUplot does...

Since I posted yesterday, I was able to get a copy of the latest
version of celib and install it on my PDA. Here's the problem that I
found:

I installed Maxima and GNUplot, copied the libraries celib and GCL to
my \Windows directory, installed a registry editor, added the
\HKLM\Environment key (with
values "COLUMNS", "ROWS", "CONSOLEFONTSIZE", and "GCLDIR"), and then
tried running GNUPlot. It worked wonderfully, without problems.

Then I ran into the problem: I tried to run Maxima.exe, and when I
did it, the console opened up, showing that Maxima was the program
which was running, but the console window remained blank. The black
block cursor was in the top left-hand window, but from there I could
get it to do nothing - it wouldn't accept input or anything, but just
sat there doing nothing.

What do I need to do to fix this problem? (Please reply someone...:) )

Thanks for your help,
Phillip Hendrickson

In case it matters, I have a Dell Axim x30, running an Intel PXA270
at 312 MHz, 32 Mb ram, and installed GNUPlot and Maxima to my 256 Mb
SD card.
