Transparent Static Text

Hello !

I have a Dialog Box where I want to have a
certain backdrop pattern from a bitmap.
I did a bitmap resource in visualC++3.0,
and created an image that is behind all other controls/buttons.
Everything works fine, but one anoying thing is that
all Static Text boxes have a white box (default background colour)
around them.
I would like to have the text transparent, so that you
can see the background image though the letters.

Is this easily possible by setting some attributes etc ?

Or should I do the background pattern in a completely
diffent way ?
