RE: jornada 720 ssh problem

I use "pocket notepad" from tillansoft, along with tweaks2k2, which I use to
change the binding of .TXT from pocket word to the pocket notepad program. I
created the root/0 password file without difficulty from that point, altho
it was necessary to manually rename it from "passwd.txt" which pocket
notepad forced (or passwd., on my second try) to passwd (no punctuation.)

The problem was a bit tricky to track down because the error message
appeared in the main window of the program (unable to open user 0 from
passwd file), rather than a dialog box, so it took many tries (watching
closely) to get the wording of the error message.
