I moved ssh from one directory to another, adjusted registry, -- old path?

I relocated the ssh.exe programs and associated directories (/bin, /etc,
/tmp, and so on) to a new folder, and made the corresponding updates to
HKLM/Environment registry key. I did a soft reset, and now every time I
start ssh, it tries to access/create the _ssh directory (for key storage) in
the OLD path. My old paths were \Storage Card\bin, etc., and the new ones
are \Storage Card\programs\bin, etc., but ssh prints an error message at
start referring to the old path. I can't see anywhere else that the path
would be stored, but something must be the case.

What is happening?

This is on an IBM Z50, CE 2.11 MIPS machine.
