Mastering regular expressions is the best book I've found, though it can be= pretty dense. I did a series of "Regex 101" posts a while back that you might find useful= : http://blogs.gotdotnet.com/ericgu/archive/tags/Regex+101/default.aspx -----Original Message----- From: Discussion relating to the specifics of the C# and Managed C++ langua= ges [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Fellows, William B. Well, here is the info on the book: Mastering Regular Expressions Third Edition 534 pages, August 2006, O'Reilly Media, Inc. The Third Edition's ISBN is 0-596-52812-4. However, the link doesn't seem to be working. I gave up and went out and bought a book. If you are interested in more than just a quick answer, here is a link to the book I use, which has had an answer for everything I have needed to do so far: http://regex.info/ Bill Fellows [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: Discussion relating to the specifics of the C# and Managed C++ languages [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Peter Osucha Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2007 10:51 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [DOTNET-CX] Regular expression Hopefully, this list is appropriate. Any recommendations on good Regular Expressions sites to visit to get a better feel for using regular expressions? Searches produce a ridiculous number of results. I have been trying to come up with a concise way to name a copy of an item in what imagine Windows does when you copy a file in windows explorer and then paste it in the same directory (first copy is 'copy of myFile.txt', second copy is 'copy (2) of myFile.txt', etc.) and I could probably do better.
