The last time I took any of the MS certifications was in the VB 4.0 days.
It seemed to me that the WOSA exams were a complete waste of time and the
VB 4.0 ones only slightly better. The exams seemed to ask an awful lot of
obscure questions that 99% of the developers won't ever need to know and
for the 1% that do need to know, they will reference the appropriate
source. I remember one question went something like, "You are writing an
ODBC driver. Which of the following are NOT required of ODBC version x.x
compliant drivers?"

The consulting firms seem to like them more so than other employers.
