Do you have a great sense of humor, and want to be at the heart of a
cornerstone of Microsoft’s enterprise server business, and a core component
of Microsoft’s .NET vision and strategy? Of, do you know someone who does?

I have worked with this team for a year and they rock -- and they need a
Technical Product Manager and a Group Product Manager with very strong
WebServices/SQL/XML experience.

Group Manager:

Create and execute strategies to increase market share in key customer
segments, including the enterprise and small and medium businesses; work
closely with the sales force to execute go to market initiatives; increase
the scope and penetration of the business intelligence and data warehouse
business; and drive key messages and activities across IT, developer, and
business decision maker audiences. In addition, the Group Product Manager
will be responsible for working closely with other managers to shape the
overall SQL Server marketing strategy; effectively managing other product
managers, ensuring execution against strategy and career growth; and working
with teams across Microsoft to help grow the entire server business.

For this job, you need a minimum of 10 years of product management
experience, and 6 years managing marketing teams of up to 10 product
managers, preferably in the enterprise software space. A demonstrated
ability to build and manage teams and create strong working relationships
across organizations is required. A sense of humor and desire to have fun is
highly desirable.

Product Manager

Drive rapid developer adoption of Microsoft's tools and technologies. Set
Server’s developer community objectives. Provide technical leadership and
guidance. Work in tandem with the Visual Studio and MSDN product units to
drive Microsoft's success with developers. Success requires effective
interaction with customers and internal groups combined with leadership and
teamwork.

You also need a strong passion for technology, a successful track record in
technical product marketing, project management, and product planning,
strong strategic thinking, inter-departmental team building, excellent
verbal and written communication, and general technical knowledge of
Microsoft development technologies (including Microsoft Visual Studio,
Microsoft Enterprise Servers and Windows 2000) and strategies.

Knowledge of Web development technologies is a must! Candidate must be a
creative thinker who can drive new and innovative additions to Microsoft SQL
Server’s technical marketing programs and content for developers. BA/BS
degree is required.

If either one is a good match for your experience and interests, please
email me your resume asap -- we need someone to start ... now! ;-)
