Hi Matt,

menu_widget2.js is going to be (future tense) a much more 
full-features menu system than the current stable menu widget 
(menu_widget.js), but it's not ready for public consumption yet. 
menu_bar_widget.js relies on menu_widget.js since it manages the 
state of the menus it contains, and therefore needs the old API to 
function. I'll be developing a new menu-set widget (with vertical 
sets!) to go along with the new menu widget, but we're not quite 
there yet.
