Hi friends,
I am facing a peculiar problem in our application developed using
VB, COM+ and SQL SERVER 2000. What exactly happening is, our application is
divided a process called A where
A - File Operation and update the database
While running this process CPU utilization becomes 100% consistently
through out the execution of procee until it completes the whole process.
Whether it is the problem in COM+ or our code or with the database. Can
anyone suggest me some ideas in this. Process "A" contains simple code
which has a big loop which loops thru the file and performs the file IO
operation and then finally updates the database. Even if the file contains
very little information then also the CPU utilization is 100%. I am not
able to findout what is the root cause of the problem.
One more problem is our application is designed to support parallelism in
execution. that is there will be more than one instance of process "A" will
be running. Even that is not happening...instead its executing
sequentially. What might be the bottle neck. Can anyone suggest me some
ideas on this...
Waiting for some good replies..
