Hi All, We are looking to develop a software package for use in the Office Partitioning market. We would like to be able to drag and drop icons representing modules, posts and junctions on to a grid type control that will allow us to create a visual 2D floor plan. After drawing the office plan, we can then produce an estimate based on what's next to what, and produce elevation drawings. We do not wish to rely on third party packages such as AutoCAD or Visio. While these packages would be ideal as they both have VBA, our clients need something simpler with an easy learning curve, therefore we wish to build our own. We already have a package that allows you to click on icons that represent modules and assemblies and produces estimates, however it is not visual, it is just lets you say "I need 20 modules of this at 2700x1200, 10 of those modules at 2700x600, 4 junctions, 10 abutments and a couple of door modules". It then produces a parts list. We would like to take this tool and add the visual drag & drop snap-to grid functionality to it. Can anyone suggest a third party ActiveX control that supports this type of functionality? Any advice / info appreciated.
