The post from r634718 reflects my experience exactly. It took many years and much suffering, but I finally figured out that the problem was that the maximum capacity of a single column/folder had been reached. Very fortunately for me, the usual culprit is a column with data of which I have no real need for a historical record; it matters only on the day I enter it. So when the dread message pops up, I simply delete that folder/column with all contents, make a new one just like it, and sail merrily on. Best, Frank
