Hi Erwin,When people refer to "the Extension" what they mean is the program created by Slang called EccoPro Extension.  It is an adjunct program for EccoPro that vastly enhances its capabilities.Image insertion using EccoPro Extension (abbreviation is EE) works the same way as it does without the Extension.  It is not changed.  If you drag and drop an image into Ecco you will get and item that is a link to that image instead of the image itself.  As efm01 described, if you copy the image to the clipboard and then paste it into Ecco, you will create an item with the actual image.Ecco displays images beautifully.  The only problem is, as efm01 also mentioned, it also makes the size of your files gigantic if you have even a few images displayed.  If you have lots of images, your file can quickly become an unmanageable size.  So whether or not to insert the actual displayed image may depend on what you are doing with the file and how much you plan to add to it.My recommendation is to use EE and add links to images using EE links.  Actually you can use links to any kind of file, not just images.  The advantages are many.  In the simplest form you can simply insert the path to the file such as C:\mypath\myimage.jpg and it will create a clickable link.  Even this has big advantages over the native Ecco link such as being able to put other text into the same item other than the link.  But that's just the beginning.  You can do a lot more with links using EE, if you are willing to dig into it.The caveat is that I am not sure if the EE file links would work on a Mac using something like Crossover.  I assume Crossover must have some way to (hopefully transparently) translate Windows style file paths to Mac file paths, but I have never used it so I don't know.  Maybe someone here can let you know.
