Erwin, I'm running old fashioned Ecco v3.03 on Windows XP. I've no idea what Eccoext or Codeweavers is. On my system inserting images into a notepad is as easy as copy>paste. I display my image, press the Print Screen (Prt Sc) button on the keyboard, go to Ecco and Edit>Paste. Or use the copy image command in your image viewer and paste into Ecco. Or you can send it as an OLE object with the Shooter. It's all the same.
The bad news is that it consumes an absurd amount of storage space. For example, pasting a 120 KB image as I've described adds 2.3 MB to the size of my Ecco file. Don't know why. It may not matter to you but if you add a lot of images you'll have a thumping huge file.
