I haven't kept up with email developments and I just learned that yahoo mail changed their policies last year and now offers free POP with it's standard free mail package.  Didn't know that!

That means that you can now use any mail client that does POP (which is virtually all of them) to access your yahoo mail.  That solves a major problem people had with free yahoo mail accounts for years.

The other services like gmail and hotmail already let you do free POP, so that wasn't an issue.

Great news for me since I still use a few legacy yahoo accounts I am trying to phase out.
