Thanks for the heads-up, airchecklover -- I've now moved to EE 4.6.7.7.  
But still the problem persists -- I cannot add any new appointments to 
my Calendar view.  Any other suggestions on what I can do or on what is 
causing the 16K limit for Appointment items?

Perlloaderplease, I've tried (with some difficulty, as they do not seem 
to be very intuitive) to work my way through the EccoMagic website and 
forums.  All the references to overfilled date folders that I found 
suggest that the limitation is caused by date stamps which, I think, are 
auto assign rules.  I have no auto assign rules on any folder.  Any 
other thoughts on causes or solutions?
