HI Linsdsay; 1) You and I agree on your observation and question. I'm going with "just because" until updated (see #3 below) 2) I'm hoping the "meisters" can chime in but I believe it means things are not OK. When I run Recover on a healthy file I get "The contents of the file were successfully recovered. Save this file to a new name and reset your automatic backups." To recap you situation - and I have to b/c of darn Yahoo - we Ecco-ites need a real board with real thread headers! But I digress. You are running EE 4.6.7.7 and having a problem with Ecco accepting a new Date into Calendar. Correct? When you run Recover to repair the problem, you get "Ecco was unable to recover data from the file" when doing a Recover operation, correct? And when you run Ecco in native, the Calendar behaves as expected. Is that correct? So the Calendar problem occurs when running EE 4.6.7.7 but not native, right? (sorry - gotta be clear on ths:) Let's try a couple things to narrow the issue: Running Ecco+EE, in the EE tray control panel, right click and fan out on "Quick Extension Option". Are "Enable Memory Guard" and "Enable Corrupt Guard" checked or unchecked? For the benefit of all, please run a series of four "Guard" conditions and check Calendar operation under each condition: (1) both Guards checked (2) both Guards unchecked (3) one checked, the other not (4) vice versa. Any operational differences to report? Next I wonder about the Recover operation. Make four copies of the file and give them unique names so you can tell which is which and try Recover under the same four Guard conditions. Any good news to report? I'll wait to hear back before rambling on. There may be some Folder stuff to try next. I'm hoping/trusting we can figure this out b/c I am in-process of making a HUGE commit to using Ecco based on my perception of Ecco+EE's stabilty! 3) Good question. Closest I can get us is right clicking EE tray icon, selecting EccoExt options and under Misc tab look for "Daily backup copies". I am confused how this setting interacts or does not with Ecco's native File->Properties->Backups->those 2 choices Friedhelm or r634718 or JS or YSWT or any other "Meister" out there - any chance you can fill us in? On behalf of curious minds everywhere, Mucho thanks! -Mark
