the first part of pop-up alarms is missing, i.e., truncated

I thought I submitted this already but it hasn't shown up in the postings.
 

 I just observed a strange occurrence. When the alarms pop-up on the screen, the first part is missing, or truncated. I have never seen that before. This is on a Windows 7 computer using EccoProExt
 

 I have no idea what is causing this and if corrective action is available.
