If you are using EE, you can add a shortcut to Notepads>Manage in EccoExt Options>Shortcut>View>Manage Notepad.  That dialog has the delete button on it, but you have to select the notepad you want to delete... so it's not a one step operation, but probably as close as you can get to what you want.
