Well, yes, I do not even post any more at the sister group

4- IQ has many features that Ecco does
not. To name a few: Customizable outliner, Grouping, Gantt charts, Hoist,
Hyperlinks, Row and column equations, Rich text pane, Ink
documents, Office
live-links, Pivot
tables, EmailToIQ, Universal clipper and Email merge.



Still, many of the functions you listed in your post are available
with EccoProX.

It's been a while
since I posted here...






InfoQube is still
evolving and new features are being added every few
weeks. Named Outline styles is next up as Jon
mentioned. Switching between styles and the option to
override item format are really cool... 2 major
extensions to Ecco's outline styles.






The current Ecco vs IQ
question could be best summarized as such:






1- Both share many
features (calendar, outliner with columns, multiple
views of items)






2- But they are also
fundamentally different in many ways too. One example
is that in Ecco, delete an item and all subs are gone
too. In IQ, you have the choice, since parent - child
links are more open. Like humans, Items exist,
independent of their parents / children. Multiple
parents and recursion are build-in.






3- Ecco has some
features that IQ does not. No need to list them here,
Ecco users know these very well.






4- IQ has many
features that Ecco does not. To name a few:
Customizable outliner, Grouping, Gantt
charts, Hoist, Hyperlinks, Row and column equations,
Rich text pane, Ink documents, Office live-links, Pivot tables,
EmailToIQ, Universal clipper and Email merge.





5- IQ still has some
bugs. But I do my best to fix them ASAP. UI quirks are
progressively eliminated.






If Ecco works for you,
no need to change.


I put everything
inside IQ of course !
