The name of this Windows 95 emulator is "Windows95." I obtained it from its own home site https://github.com/felixrieseberg/windows95 https://github.com/felixrieseberg/windows95.
I downloaded and ran the appropriate installer today. The program was installed on my Linux Mint system. Two severe defects and one puzzlement immediately stopped me:
The puzzlement is that a cryptic apology was posted in the desktop's launcher listing where a terse program description is usually visible.
The defects were:
- The mouse pointer was trapped and could only be accessed again with awkward keystroke combinations.
- The graphic display was scrunched up, illegibly, into a tiny window.
- The program would not run any supplied executable (".exe") files that were provided in one of its own included game packages.
I tried rebooting my system and gained no improvement, so I uninstalled the package,
