 I run WinXP virtual machine under VirtualBox under Linux and it performs very well. I do this only because I cannot run WinXP under Hyper-V Manager.
 

 I also run a Win7 virtual machine under Hyper-V Manager (a virtual machine environment similar to VirtualBox)  under Windows 10.
