I agree with Don -- the reasons for the split are now water under the bridg=
e, and it's time to put the 2 groups together so that we can all share in t=
he combined expertise.=C2=A0 The discussion so far has only been on the sec=
ond list, but I'm sending this to both lists so that all are aware of what =
is being considered.
I am still a (very inactive) moderator of the original list, but I'm afraid=
I have no particular expertise as to how the 2 lists can be brought togeth=
er.=C2=A0 My personal preference would be to continue as an email list, rat=
her than adopt a web forum format. Who has access to the membership lists o=
f the respective groups and can agree to/arrange a merger of the 2 lists, p=
referably in a new non-Yahoo environment?
I know nothing about Groups.io, but another email list with which I'm assoc=
iated switched to www.freelists.org/ and that has been very successful -- t=
he list allows attachments which is a very useful attribute.=C2=A0 I do not=
know whether freelists.org has storage capacity for the existing Ecco file=
s -- perhaps someone with more expertise than I can research that.
Certainly hope we can find a workable solution.
