Hi Chris, ICL's cannot be used in VISTA or Windows 7 (Platform: 07) If run from a .gui, G4C crashes if you try to load an icl. Loading from an EXE, DLL or ICO should work alright. Win 7 (and Vista) handles a few more icon sizes than XP. Supported are 16,24,32,48,96 and 256 squares. And maybe some in between as well (not tried). But it's not required to have the images of all sizes in an icon. Besides, since G4C only handles 16 and 32 sizes, you don't need to change anything in your guis when changing from Vista to Windows 7. Only changing from XP to Vista/Win7 requires the changes that we handled before. fer --- In [email protected], "chris.kevany" <chris.kevany@...> wrote: > > Hi to all, > > I would like to know if using a icl library for menu icons still > works in Windows 7 (x64). > > I know there were problems with rebar icons when Vista came out > and that using a gif strip fixed that problem. > I read somewhere that all icons in Win7 has to be 256x256 ? > > Someone reported that my app won't even launch (probably hangs > on "loadicon"?). > > Any tips are much appreciated, > > Chris > ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
