That should solve the problem although my personal preference
is using a BMP-strip in stead of a GIF-strip because:
1. GIF's do have the possibility of showing some random
pixels in the wrong color so you have to manually edit the
strip and remove the false pixels specially if they belong
to the transparent color.
2. Some GIF's are not loaded by G4C correctly or not loaded
at all. I discovered this in a picture viewer that should
be able to view GIF's as well as BMP and JPG's. Therefore I
disabled the loading of GIF images in that viewer.
3. BMP's are easier to create and edit. Even G4C can manipulate
icon images and save as BMP
4. Icon size in pixels is only marginal larger for BMP than for
GIF and is no excuse for not using BMP.

That said, it's still a personal preference. If your GIF's
are not showing false pixels and G4C has no problem loading
the GIF-strip, you are very welcome to use GIF's
