I don't remember the problem with pumpmessages, but the other one with the usb crashes was a bug which I fixed (although a silly one). The problem you're having sounds like overwritten memory (just a guess). Some function overwrites a buffer which is supposed to hold something else and messes it up. The problem is to find where and under what conditions this happens and why only on win7.
