Nice you mention that! Just a few days ago I was looking at the
bcc55 compiler/linker options and this uses 4 bytes allignment
as default. Now my ddl functions do a lot of serVar interfacing
with Gui4Cli and I wondered if this also expects 4 bytes allingment.

But then; why would a misfit not show up on Windows XP?

Only to what I earlier mentioned, that it seems to depend on the
install path length and script size. E.g.; if I have issues and
add a few characters to the install path, it often suddenly runs fine.
