Thanks, pal.  No I don't worry about the error, but I just wanted to
confirm with you that I was using an appropriate G4c function to check
if the buffer exists. Or if there is another in the manual I had missed,
in my haste.

Thanks again, and when I make a useful thing out of it I intend to
upload it.
