Well, don't bash yourself up over it. It seemed like a good plan -- how 
were you to know that it wouldn't work out, except to try it? At least 
it didn't happen in production.

Maybe to avoid drama in the future you could run all your plans via the 
OT list, and we'll vet them for you. There are plenty of intelligent 
people on this list, after all. ;)
