Re: What are you using for home servers?

The answer is really whether you want a hands off storage and server box, or
a box which can act as a storage machine as well as a functional PC.

I have an HP 485, currently loaded with 2 x 2TB + 2 x 1TB drives. Aside from
being my duplicated file storage machine, it takes backups from both Windows
and Mac machines (chosen because HP ships Mac software to make it a Time
Machine target), it's my "always on" Windows Live Sync machine and serves
content to my Apple TV (music, movies, TV shows). And it's done so very
well, minus one scary 48 hour period during a drive
