"Easy to use" rarely exists in a vaccuum. I was recently trying to help my
mother setup something on her iPhone. Believe it or not, I'd never used
that device before -- and I actually found it very hard to use. That's
because I didn't know what I was doing, so I needed to explore through all
of the options, randomly trying gestures to see what they would do. Because
my mental model of exploration included the ability to back up one step, I
felt hamstrung by the apparent inability of the iOS UI to do that.
